COLUMBIA, Tenn. - Lynch Equipment, which lists its address as 831 Westover Dr, Columbia, Tenn. 38401, is a scam. A buyer who wired $32,900 for a 2022 Bobcat T76 says the machine never arrived, according to the buyer's account.

The case matters because the listing named a late model compact loader and was paid in full up front by bank wire, yet no equipment changed hands. Buyers shopping for late-model, low-hour machines can face the full loss of a purchase where nothing is delivered.

The listing

As published on the seller's product page, the machine was a 2022 Bobcat T76 with 1,113 engine hours and an asking price of $32,900. The page identified the make, model year and hours; it did not include verified horsepower, drive type, loader specifications or a comprehensive list of cab and comfort features in the material provided to News Equipment.

The listing presented the loader as a relatively new compact track machine at a price that would have been competitive for a late-model unit with low hours. That combination is what drew the buyer to the posting while comparing available machines.

How the sale unfolded

A buyer located the posting while looking for a compact loader of this type and compared it with other options. The buyer used the contact path on the website to make an offer at the listing price and proceeded toward purchase after deciding this machine met their needs.

Following the purchase decision, the buyer paid the full $32,900 asking price by bank wire, according to the account supplied to News Equipment. The buyer expected the machine to be delivered or made available for inspection and transfer after payment.

After payment, the buyer did not receive the Bobcat. The buyer's account states that the machine never arrived and that no equipment was provided in exchange for the wired funds.

The buyer's description of events ends with a clear loss: $32,900 sent by bank wire and no 2022 Bobcat T76 delivered to the purchaser.

What the website shows

The website trades as Lynch Equipment and lists a Columbia, Tenn., street address and a phone number of +1 931-671-1532. The vehicle page for the 2022 Bobcat T76 appeared alongside other inventory entries on the lynchequipments.com domain.

Registration records show the domain was created on Aug. 24, 2026, via registrar Fewmoretaps OU doing business as Trustname.com. The registrant information is hidden behind a privacy service, and the site does not publish verifiable dealer licensing or DOT credentials in the material reviewed for this article.

How these schemes work

Federal consumer-protection agencies warn that some fraudulent dealer websites advertise late-model, low-hour machines at attractive prices and are newly created just before a listing appears. Those sites can present convincing photographs and descriptions while failing to provide verifiable licensing or long-standing contact records.

In general terms, the risk factors here match that guidance: the posting offered a 2022 Bobcat T76 with 1,113 hours at a full asking price, the domain was registered on Aug. 24, 2026 and the registrant is masked. Those elements combined are consistent with the warning signs regulators list for risky online equipment offers.

If you sent money

If you wired funds to this seller, contact your bank or payment provider immediately and ask them to seek a recall of the transfer. Preserve every communication, invoice, payment receipt and webpage capture related to the transaction.

Also report the loss to the FBI Internet Crime Complaint Center at ic3.gov and to the Federal Trade Commission at reportfraud.ftc.gov, supplying the lynchequipments.com domain and the specific vehicle page URL.
